AMAAD facilitates personalized individual access to programs and services that foster safe and supportive healthy environments for people to live, learn and develop to their fullest potential. They provide essential and support services, community support, resources and referrals centered around specialized strength-based management services and leadership development with a focus among LGBTQ people of color. AMAAD is committed to highlighting and celebrating healthy living and affirming Black people and other men and women of color.

Cedars-Sinai Cancer’s Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) team reaches out to the LGBTQ+ community throughout Los Angeles County providing education on tobacco prevention and cessation. The COE team identifies LGBTQ+ tobacco users and refers them to the state quitline and cessation support groups with the goal of creating a tobacco free LGBTQ+ community.
